Problems we treat
These are some of the problems we often attend to in our clinic.
Acne
It is a common disorder not exclusive of teenagers in today's world. There are a multitude of triggering factors, such as genetics, stress, hormone imbalances, food, and habits that require a comprehensive approach.
Eczema | Dermatitis
These are patients with very sensitive and dry skin, there is often a family history of allergies, special care and instructions are required.
Alopecia
There are several disorders that can cause hair loss and some of our patients simultaneously have 2 or more types of alopecia that require a personalized treatment plan.
Rosacea
It is an inflammatory disorder that, although no definitive cure exists, there are very effective treatments that can make it nearly imperceptible in many cases.
Psoriasis
Not only does this disorder affect the skin, but it can also cause inflammation of nails and joints (arthritis). Psoriasis can often be a reflection of your overall health, so, besides treating the skin it is recommended to try to maintain an ideal weight, address comorbidities, and quit smoking.
Skin Cancer
It is the most frequent cancer in the world. It's important to recognize it at an early stage to identify the type of cancer, and to try to prevent it from involving deeper structures within the body.
Zoster
Consists of a chickenpox virus reactivation (varicella-zoster virus), also known as shingles. Typically it only affects one side of the body (left or right). In those older than 50 years of age there is a greater risk for complication, mostly due to peripheral nerve damage, which is located underneath the affected skin.
In Addition
We also treat verrucae vulgaris (viral warts), vitiligo, melasma (pregnancy mask), tinea (ring worm), onychomycosis (nail fungi), onychocryptosis (ingrown toenail), hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating), striae distensae (stretch marks), cellulite, photoaging, nevi (moles), skin tumors, and many other skin, hair, and nail problems.
